Rockwell/Rosegreen’s Under 16’s have been busy in the last two weeks preparing for the West Tipperary Under 16B Football Final which is set to take place in Cappawhite on Monday evening the 8th of May at 7pm. In the final they will play Clonoulty/Rossmore who defeated Emly/Treacys in the semi-final. This group of lads have trained well and played a challenge game in preparation for the final and it is hoped that they can retain their title from last year. Best of luck to all the players and their mentors in the final.

Rockwell/Rosegreen Under 14’s have had a number of training sessions in the past few weeks in preparation for the Under 14 Football Championship. There will be two teams who will play in the Under 14B and D competitions ensuring that all of the players receive games. In the B competition they will compete against Cashel, Aherlow/Lattin and Cappawhite Gaels. In the D competition they will compete against Arravale Rovers and Galtee/Golden’s second teams.

Rosegreen’s Under 12’s have been busy in the past few weeks. The first Under 12 team played the West Tipperary Under 12C football semi-final against Rockwell Rovers on Thursday the 27th of April played in Rosegreen. Rockwell Rovers ran out eventual winners on a scoreline of 5-4 to 1-4. Rosegreen now were set to play the Under 12C Shield final where their opposition were to be Emly as they had lost their semi-final to Sean Treacys. The Shield final was played on Thursday the 4th of May in Emly. The game was refereed by Seanie Peters and the first half was a close affair. In the second half Rosegreen got the upper hand and eventually ran out winners on a scoreline of Rosegreen 5-3 Emly 2-0. Well done to all the players and mentors and the children now look forward to the hurling competition where they will be amalgamated with Rockwell Rovers at Under 12.

Rosegreen’s second Under 12 team were also busy in the past few weeks both playing matches and training. Their most recent match was against Cashel played in Cashel. On this occasion Rosegreen came out on top on a scoreline of 10 scores to 5. This team now looks forward to a semi-final against Rockwell Rovers on the 15th of May. Best of luck to the players and their mentors in the semi-final.

The Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camp will take place in Rosegreen from the 10th to the 14th days of July (inclusive). The camp is open to 6-13 year olds and participants can register online. More details will follow in the weeks ahead.
