The Under 16 County Long Puck final took place on the 10th day of June in BikePark Ireland, Ballingarry, Roscrea. Five contestants competed in the Under 16 final including Christopher Geraghty. Weather conditions on the day were blustery making the Long Puck competition challenging. All participants pucked the sliotar across the rough terrain as far as they could, with Ryan Renehan from Cappawhite coming out the eventual winner, followed by Rory O’ Donovan of Eire Og Nenagh and Christopher Geraghty, Rosegreen. There was very little between the participants. Well done to all involved for an excellent competition in a scenic setting. Ryan Renehan went on to represent Tipperary in the Munster Long Puck competition in the Burren, Co. Clare, a competition which he won and he will go on to represent Munster in the All Ireland.
