Detached cruciform-plan church, built 1838, with three-bay nave, entrance porch addition to east and two single-storey extensions and chimneystack to west. Pitched artificial slate roofs with cast-iron rainwater goods and having cross to east gable. Painted roughcast rendered walls with painted smooth rendered eaves course and plinth. Painted smooth rendered buttresses with cut limestone copings. Paired lancet window openings to nave and transepts with cut limestone sills and stained glass. Triangular-headed window opening to east elevation with stained glass. Triple lancet window openings to transept gables with stained glass. Porch has triple lancet window with stained glass and square-headed door openings with timber battened double-leaf doors. Pointed arch door openings with limestone thresholds and replacement double-leaf timber battened doors to transepts. Stucco rib vaulting to ceiling. Date plaque to south entrance.
